Giri Govardhan Shaligram Shila

Giri Goverdhan(गोवर्धन) Hill, also called Mount Govardhana, Giri Raj, and Royal Hill. This is a sacred Hindu site in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India on an 8 km long hill located in the area of Govardhan and Radha Kund, which is about 21 km's from Vrindavan.

It is the sacred center of Braj and is identified as a natural form of Lord Krishna himself.

History says that Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan Hill On one finger during his childhood to save his village of Mathura from fierce rains and thunderstorms. This hill is thereby considered holy.

They worship Govardhana Shilas considered as aniconic symbols of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, exactly as they worship the Deity of Krishna in the temple.

Giri Govardhan Shila is a very powerful, black color, attractive Shila, slightly big in size, shapes like a mountain and the chakra on it.
