Kamakhya Shaligram

The Kamakhya Temple dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya and also known as Kamrup-Kamakhya temple, Kamakhya Devalaya. It is situated on the Nilachal Hill in Guwahati city in Assam, India.  it is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas of Shaktism. The Tripurasundari, Matangi, and Kamala reside inside the main temple whereas Kali, Tara, Sodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamalatmika reside in individual temples.

The Kamakhya Shaligram represents the Hindu goddess Kamakhya. She is also known as Kali Maa and Maha-Tripura Sundari. The Kamakhya Shaligram Shila is extremely smooth, perfectly shaped, lustrous, small sized, cold to touch, has flawless impressions.
