The Netra Shaligram (नेत्र शालिग्राम) describe Eye impression on the Shila. The Netra represents the Third Eye of Lord Shiva. The third eye is the eye of spiritual wisdom and knowledge. It is believed that Lord Shiva uses the third eye to see behind the apparent and protect the good ones from the evildoers. 

All the evil and the darkness vanish as the third eye opens. In Indian and East Asian iconography, the third eye is the sixth chakra which is known as “Ajna chakra”. It is also known as brow chakra or brow center.
